Bathroom Furniture

Filed Under: Home Design    by: admin

Bathrooms today demand as much attention as the rest of the home because they’re increasing used as restrooms for unwinding and relaxing. The availability of modern amenities demands that bathrooms are just as convenient, comfortable and functional as the rest of the house, which can be achieved by having the right kind of furniture in the bathroom. The bathroom must be considered as an extension of a bedroom and not as an individual room while choosing the décor. This will result in the design blending in the décor of the house instead of just the bathroom interior decoration standing out.

Bathrooms are much more than just a sink, a bathtub and a toilet. Modern bathrooms house the sleekest accessories, fixtures and furniture. Contemporary bathroom furniture includes bath tubs with modern gadgets like blowers, shower stalls with hydro jets, spas, Jacuzzis, saunas, shower stools, whirlpools, air tubs, a wall hung lavatory, and grooming mirrors. This furniture can be designed according to the rest of the bathroom accessories, tiles and floor patterns. Most bathroom furniture is designed to be comfortable, sleek and beautiful.

Bright Up Your Room

Filed Under: Home Design    by: admin

The bedroom is the place we spend most of our time, yet also tends to be the most ignored when it comes to decorating. Nowadays, money may be a significant factor! Here are some great hints for brightening up your space with no money at all!

1.Rearrange! A new fresh placement always makes a room feel new. Don’t be afraid to try new angles for your furniture…place your bed on a diagonal, or even right in the middle of the room!

2. Explore your drawers for scarves, tablecloths, or even pillowcases that compliment your color scheme. You can use things you already own to soften a dresser top or the edge of your nightstand, or perhaps lay a pretty shawl over the foot of the bed. If you already have throw pillows on your bed (if you don’t, it’s time to steal it from another room!) you can also wrap these fabrics around the pillows for a new look, and just safety pin it in back.

3. Add a plant to your room. Look around your home to see if one of your existing plants would be happier in your bedroom, then move it there! If you can’t find a plant ready for relocation, make one! Many plants can be grown from cuttings, either your existing houseplants, one a friend may let you cut, or even some outdoor plants. Ivy and many shade groundcovers are very good houseplants. You can even relive your childhood a bit and grow a cut potato, pineapple, or carrot tops in a pinch! For containers, check out your kitchen cupboards. Old teapots and cups, glass bowls, even baking dishes can make unique containers.

Without the structure of an office outside of our homes, it is easy to spread out anything work related all over the house. We still need to complete our work in a timely and efficient manner. After all, the less time we spend working, the more time we have with our family. An organized home office will make for a faster and more enjoyable workday. Here are a few ideas to get you and your home office organized.

1) Do you have a home office? You don’t necessarily need an entire room, but you should have a well-defined space to contain all your office fundamentals and files.

A desk in your bedroom that will hold your files, paper, pens, calculator and of course computer will do fine, especially in the beginning.

If your “office” consists of the dining room table, some of the drawers in your kitchen, a file cabinet in the basement and the computer in the bedroom, you may want to think about organizing the whole thing in one spot.

Are you spending a lot of time searching for a particular document, running from room to room to find it? Consider moving all your files and papers to one central location, preferably close to the computer if that’s where you are doing the bulk of your work.
