- To respond to death calls and investigate with the police department as to the cause and manner of death.

| Qualifications: |
The only requirements are you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a GED or high school diploma
- Have been a resident of the county for a minimum of 2 years prior to holding office
|
| Time Required/ Salary: |
- Varies from 8 - 20 hours per week.

- Several homicides
- Two inquests
- Numerous suicides and accidental deaths

| Tidbits: |
- It is important that the coroner have some investigative background and experience and be familiar with police operations and personnel.
